Peer review policy

Sapiens Global uses double-anonymous peer review as its general model: author and reviewer identities are concealed during assessment. The journal seeks at least two independent reports.

Reviewer selection

Reviewers are selected for demonstrated subject expertise, independence from the manuscript, and absence of conflicts. Affiliation, nationality, institutional position, or personal relationships must not compromise impartiality.

Confidentiality and conduct

Manuscripts, data, and reports are confidential. Reviewers may not use unpublished information, delegate the review without authorization, or upload files to external AI tools lacking approved safeguards. They must assess respectfully, support their comments, and flag ethical concerns.

Decisions

Outcomes are accept; accept with minor revisions; request major revisions and further review; reject with an option to submit a substantially new manuscript; or reject. Recommendations do not replace the final editorial decision.

Conflicts

Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose conflicts. Team members who are authors are excluded from the record. If an identity is inadvertently revealed, the person concerned must inform the editor so that the process can be reassessed.

Timing

Deadlines in invitations are indicative. No fixed turnaround is promised. Actual dates for invitations, acceptance, reports, revisions, and decisions are recorded in OJS.
