Author and submission guidelines

Before submitting, review the journal’s scope, contribution types, policies, and checklist. Registration and submission take place through OJS and are free of charge.

Manuscript preparation

  • An editable DOCX or ODT file based on the journal template.
  • Title, abstract, and keywords in Spanish and English.
  • Clear, coherent text with a structure appropriate to the contribution type.
  • References in APA 7th edition, verified and including DOI links where available.
  • Editable tables and legible figures, numbered, cited, and accompanied by titles, sources, and alternative text.
  • Units, symbols, equations, and abbreviations defined consistently.
  • An anonymized version without names, affiliations, acknowledgements, or file properties that reveal authorship.
  • A separate file with complete authorship details, affiliation, country, email, and a genuine ORCID where available.

Required statements

Authorship and CRediT contributions; funding; competing interests; ethics approval or a reasoned statement of non-applicability; consent where relevant; data, code, and material availability; substantial use of artificial intelligence; and permissions for third-party content.

Submission checklist

  1. The work fits the scope and meets the requirements of the selected category.
  2. It is original, is not published or under simultaneous review, and discloses preprints, theses, or prior versions.
  3. All authors meet the criteria, approved the submission, and accept responsibility.
  4. The review file is correctly anonymized.
  5. Data, results, references, tables, and figures have been verified.
  6. Permissions for third-party material and applicable ethics documentation are available.
  7. All end statements are complete.
  8. No DOI, ORCID, source, or result has been fabricated.

Supplementary files

Data, code, instruments, protocols, appendices, or audiovisual materials may be included subject to privacy, intellectual property, security, and third-party conditions. Each file must be described and linked to the manuscript.

Privacy during review

The journal uses double-anonymous review as its general model. Authors must remove identifying information from the text and files. The editorial team may return a submission that cannot preserve anonymity.
