Personal data

OJS collects information supplied during registration, submission, review, and editorial management, including names, email addresses, affiliations, countries, identifiers, activity records, and files. It is used to administer the process, communicate decisions, attribute authorship, and maintain the scholarly record.

Access is limited by editorial role. Names and emails are not provided to third parties for commercial purposes. Technical providers may process data when necessary to operate the service under applicable conditions. Absolute security is not promised.

Retention and rights

Editorial data and the scholarly record are retained as needed for the stated purposes, legal obligations, process integrity, and preservation. Requests for access, correction, or other inquiries are handled through the official contact, subject to legal and research-integrity limits.

Cookies

The site uses technical cookies required for sessions, language, security, and operation. Non-essential external services will be assessed before activation.

Verifiable preservation

Continuity currently relies on automated backups of the database, code, configuration, and private files, with integrity verification and a restoration procedure. OAI-PMH and XML exports support metadata portability.

The journal does not claim active participation in PKP PN, LOCKSS, CLOCKSS, or Portico without evidence of activation. Their assessment is part of the development plan.

Security

The platform operates over HTTPS, uses private storage outside the public directory, restricted permissions, backups, and role-based access controls. Incidents will be documented and addressed according to their scope.
