Simulaciones inmersivas para la formación en seguridad ocupacional: revisión de alcance sobre aprendizaje, transferencia y salvaguardas en educación técnica

Introducción: Las simulaciones inmersivas permiten practicar reconocimiento de peligros y decisiones sin exposición real, pero presencia, disfrute o rendimiento dentro del entorno virtual no demuestran transferencia a talleres o lugares de trabajo. Objetivo: Mapear la evidencia publicada hasta el 30 de abril de 2026 sobre aprendizaje, retención, transferencia, implementación y salvaguardas de simulaciones inmersivas para seguridad ocupacional, con implicaciones para educación técnica. Métodos: Se realizó una revisión de alcance orientada por JBI y reportada con PRISMA-ScR. Se evaluaron 50 informes y se incluyeron 20 fuentes. Se extrajeron contexto, tecnología, comparador, aprendizaje, transferencia, seguridad, implementación y limitaciones. Resultados: Las revisiones favorecieron la realidad virtual para adquisición y, con menor certeza, retención. Sin embargo, una revisión de 136 estudios encontró que 72,06 % midió aprendizaje y solo 19,12 % aplicó una prueba de transferencia. La única fuente directamente centrada en secundaria vocacional codesarrolló un juego de bajo costo con 8 docentes y 50 estudiantes; mostró buena aceptación, no eficacia causal. Experimentos en formación marítima y eléctrica informaron ventajas en motivación, aprendizaje percibido o retención, pero la conducta real fue rara. El reporte de síntomas, abandono, accesibilidad y alternativas no inmersivas fue desigual. Conclusiones: La inmersión es defendible cuando permite practicar una decisión peligrosa que no puede ensayarse responsablemente en el mundo real. Debe integrarse con objetivos observables, retroalimentación, debriefing, supervisión, prueba de transferencia y control de síntomas. No sustituye controles físicos, práctica supervisada ni certificación. La evidencia justifica un piloto escolar responsable, no afirmar efectividad ecuatoriana.
